Delectable AND Delicious! These are only some of the words our guests have used over the years to express their delight in Sandi's work. For more than 10 years, Delectable & Delicious has catered many events for us, including personal events, like a family wedding and my mother's funeral, and professional celebrations, like our annual staff Christmas party and sit down dinners. At every gathering, the food and the service were the highlight (or a major source of comfort in the case of the funeral), and usually the topic of conversation. Sandi's ability to please any crowd never ceases to be amazing. When entertaining my jet-setting relatives who have eaten the best foods all over the world, I asked Sandi to create a spread that was world class. She delivered a 5 Star feast that blended international cuisines with exquisite flavours, in a tasteful manner that made the family ask, "wherever did you find Sandi?"

Our staff parties can be even more challenging, as the tastes run the gambit. Some like it hot and spicy, while some want no spice at all. Some want to try new and unique creations, while others want familiar, down-home comfort food. We give Sandi the task of designing the menu for this diverse group, providing her only with a list of likes and dislikes and a party theme. And Sandi has unfailing delivered. Our staff look forward to this annual event because of Sandi's handiwork. Every year, they tell us individually the food feels like a special treat, and thank us for the dishes that were specially prepared, just for them. Even the shyest, non-party-going spouses come enthusiastically when they know Sandi is catering and they tell us in no uncertain terms, "it's about the food!"

Diversity and creativity are Sandi's trademarks. Just when we think Sandi couldn't possibly come up with something completely new and different, she blows us away with a totally original taste sensation. Sandi travels extensively and collects new foods and fabulous recipes for her clients. The results are "delectably delicious", and include finds like a new margarita from a little bar in Mexico, a special Mardi Gras dish from New Orleans, or an original recipe for southern fried chicken. Sandi can do virtually any type of cuisine we can think of, from any country, just like a native. And she does it all, from appetizers to desserts. The desserts are just as creative and delightful as the other courses. Mickie's flair for pastries and sweets complements the meal and provides the full culinary experience. And I haven't even mentioned the presentation, which is always just right for the occasion and the theme of the meal.

The other aspect of Sandi's work that keeps us coming back year after year is the service. Sandi, Mickie, and their assistants serve our guests from 'bar-time to bedtime', in a professional manner, with just the right touch of a warm and personable style. Sandi can serve a large party or a small, private dinner party with equal flair, in a manner that provides the desired atmosphere. She is also a delight to deal with and she is very helpful with the planning. Sandi is to catering what a wedding planner is to a wedding. She will create a whole feast if we give her free rein, or she will follow our plan down to the smallest detail. Sandi is prompt (regardless of the weather), flexible, good-natured, and treats each client like you are her only one. We are very lucky to have a professional chef and caterer of Sandi's calibre this far away from a major metropolitan centre. And, the price is right, to boot!
